Wendy greatly appreciates the opportunity to work with the firm’s leaders. “I was invited to a breakfast hosted by some of the RBC Dominion Securities women leaders,” recalls Wendy. “The team wanted to show me what RBC’s culture was like and what they were looking for in terms of hiring. I was really inspired and decided I would take a leap of faith and join the team.”
Wendy's business has grown significantly since starting with RBC Dominion Securities. She credits the firm’s new advisor training program as playing a meaningful role in helping her develop the skills to elevate her expertise. She also believes the extensive network of partners at RBC contributes to her own – and her clients’ – success in significant ways.
“I started working when I was 15 at a coffee shop in Vancouver,” says Wendy. “I was making $6 an hour and my dad told me to save at least half of what I made since I lived at home. I think my dad, being a new Canadian, teaching me how to plan for the future and how to be disciplined, really shaped who I am,” she reflects.
Wendy has worked in the financial industry for the past 17 years and has been an investment advisor with RBC Dominion Securities since 2017. She says she enjoys the freedom to personalize investment management and wealth plans to suit the unique needs of her clients.

RBC Partnerships Deliver Solutions For Clients
“Partnering is a big part of the culture at RBC. I love being able to bring the best expertise to the table,” Wendy says. “There’s always someone I can work with to answer clients’ questions.”
While wealth planning can be complex, Wendy enjoys the ability to solve problems with the help of experts from across the firm and RBC. “When I partner with Private Banking or a financial expert from our Family Office Services team, I can answer clients’ questions and give them peace of mind. Working as a collaborative team, we can take the complexity of planning and simplify it for the client,” she explains.
Helping clients starts by asking the right questions. She says, “I always ask my clients about their priorities, their concerns, what keeps them up at night. Then I can access the right expertise to find the right solution. I’m focused on their needs and how I can help them achieve their financial dreams.”
