Diversity Works Here Event Series
Our Diversity Works Here RBC Event Series are designed to break barriers and create a unique personalized experience for talent from diverse communities. We create opportunities for women, Persons with Disabilities, Indigenous Peoples, Newcomers to Canada, and the LGBT+ community to network and gain insights from RBC hiring managers and recruiters to explore rewarding careers at RBC.
Between 2017 and 2020, the RBC Inclusive Recruitment team, in partnership with recruiters and businesses, supported over 5000 pre-arrival and newcomer job seekers through our Diversity Works Here Event Series, which includes our signature in-person events, workshops as well as webinars.

In 2018 RBC launched our Newcomer Meeting Place which aims to provide newcomers value-added service beyond banking and help them launch their new lives in Canada. Our Meeting Places host regular job searching workshops to help newcomers break cultural barriers and launch their career in Canada.
In 2019 RBC Ventures Arrive was launched, aiming to help newcomers build their social and professional networks, to feel supported throughout their journey in making Canada home. RBC partners with ACCES Employment to co-host virtual webinars aiming to help newcomers as they find employment in Canada, and educate them about the Canadian financial landscape. This program helps us reach newcomers who are in Canada, but also those who have not yet landed in the country, to assist them on their settlement journey.
